Board recognizes Liberty Elementary for A rating and six distinctions from TEA

The Eagle Pass Independent School District board on Sept. 9 formally recognized Liberty Elementary after the school earned an A rating and six distinctions in the Texas Education Agency’s 2025 accountability ratings. A district staff member told trustees the school was “one of the top schools in our district” and congratulated students and staff on the achievement.
The recognition segment included an invitation for trustees, the superintendent and parents to take photos and brief remarks praising the school’s performance. The board noted the rating during the recognitions portion of the meeting and scheduled a pep rally and related events to celebrate the school’s rating later in the month.
No board action was required; the item was a ceremonial recognition of Liberty Elementary’s TEA accountability results.
