County introduces new hire Amy Rosser in administration

County administrators introduced Amy Rosser, who said she was hired on Aug. 26 by County Administrator Mel Key and will serve in an administrative role. Rosser told commissioners she has worked in federal, state and local government and spent 12 years in the military; she described prior positions including deputy clerk of the board in Chelan County, HR analyst, civil service chief examiner and municipal administrator in a small Texas city.

"I have been in federal, state, and local government my entire life. I did 12 years in the military," Rosser said, and she described experience working with aging and disability services and in local economic development and planning and zoning committees. Staff said Rosser has been meeting with various boards and staff to become familiar with county operations; one staff member noted a "cheat sheet" was prepared to help her learn board assignments.

Why it matters: the introduction provides transparency about personnel changes and the new administrator's background; Rosser will participate in upcoming county meetings and transition tasks as assigned. No board action was required; this was an informational introduction during the work session.
