Medina County plans RFQ to update subdivision regulations, forms work group to consider development agreements

Matt Springer, county administrator, told the board the county will issue a request for qualifications to update its subdivision regulations and to explore the use of development agreements. Springer said roughly 20 invitations have gone out for the project work group and that the group includes members of the homebuilders association and township trustees. Commissioner discussion confirmed interest in participating and possible use of funds from a previously authorized cost-of-services study to pay for the work. Commissioner Hambley said he would like to participate on the work group; another commissioner noted the cost-of-services study funds may be repurposed to support the effort.
