Prosper ISD board approves district improvement plan and campus improvement plans

The Prosper ISD board on Aug. 25 approved a district improvement plan and the campus improvement plans for the district's campuses.
"I move the board approve the district improvement plan as presented by the administration," Trustee Tommy Van Wolf said when making the motion; Trustee David Webb seconded. The motion carried with all six trustees voting in favor. Later the board approved campus improvement plans for all campuses (motion by Dina Dixon; second by Kelly Cavender), also passing unanimously.
Administrators said the district plan and campus plans are intentionally aligned with the district's strategic priorities (cultivate, prosper, champion, empower) and are designed to focus leaders and staff on instructional and student-support priorities. Mrs. Croix noted the board received a substantial packet of materials; a trustee described it as "507 pages" of material to review.
Trustees described an ongoing review process that includes campus walks where board members visit schools and see the plans in action. The plans are presented as multi-page "plan on a page" documents at the campus level to provide consistent focus across rapidly expanding campuses.
Formal outcomes: Board approval of the district improvement plan (agenda item 10d) and approval of campus improvement plans (agenda item 10e). Both actions passed unanimously.
Next steps: administrators said campuses will implement the plans and trustees will continue campus walks and regular oversight.
