Brevard reports improved access and performance across AP, IB, CTE and dual enrollment; several schools exit ESSA identification

Superintendent Dr. Rendell said Brevard reduced the number of schools with ESSA identifications, expanded access to advanced coursework and industry certifications, and saw strong pass rates for AP (75%) and IB (79%). Graduation data are lagging and will be reported later.

Superintendent Dr. Rendell told the Brevard School Board that the district has reduced the number of schools identified under the Every Student Succeeds Act and recorded gains in student access to advanced and career programs. "The schools, in front of us at this time, they all exited ESSA status," Dr. Rendell said, reporting that multiple campuses improved subgroup performance enough to leave ESSA identification.
