Harris County commissioners on Aug. 19 adopted a 2025 property tax millage rate of 9.13 mills for most of the county and 5.478 mills for areas of West Point following the third of three public hearings required by state law.
The adoption follows two earlier hearings held Aug. 5, and county officials said the rate is the same as in recent years. The board’s notice said the tentative millage rate will require an increase in property taxes of 2.97% in the countywide (less West Point) area and 2.58% in the West Point area compared with the rollback rate.
