Board members discussed converting the district’s superintendent evaluation standards and associated priority statements into a public feedback survey. A board member proposed turning the evaluation’s standards (standards 1–7 in the current evaluation rubric) into survey questions and prefacing the questions with the district’s stated priorities.
District staff agreed to draft a Google Form based on the evaluation standards and to return the draft to the board for approval at the Jan. 28 regular meeting. The board discussed response rates from the prior year (28 responses from 128 solicitations) and urged a concise, plain‑language survey that is more likely to generate responses from parents, staff and community members. Board members also suggested including the district priorities at the top of the survey for context.
No formal vote was required; the board directed staff to prepare the draft survey and present it for approval at the next regular meeting.
