The Pendleton County Board of Education voted Aug. 18 to appoint Mrs. Allie Sturgill to the Pendleton County Recreation Board. Superintendent Buerkley's recommendation was adopted on a motion by Mrs. Amber Beebe, seconded by Mr. Derek Brown. The vote was unanimous: Griffin-Yes; Schack-Yes; Barnard-Yes; Beebe-Yes; Brown-Yes. The minutes record the appointment; no conditions or term length were recorded in the meeting notes.
