Council members and staff updated the council on the city’s multi‑year vision and strategic plan process and said the steering committee has four task forces: technology, placemaking, economic development and enterprise funds.
Staff said each task force was assigned a lead and that the committee included administration staff and residents. The committee had about eight resident volunteers but reported two recent withdrawals and one task force lead stepping down for personal reasons, reducing resident participation to six.
Staff asked for additional volunteers from residents and city staff to fill task force roles and said they will continue work toward a plan the committee hopes to produce by the end of the year. One council member said they will temporarily take on additional task‑force responsibilities until new volunteers come forward.
