Miami County commissioners voted to deny a request to rezone about 115 acres near Lookout Road from countryside to R-1 (rural residential), a change that would have allowed up to 23 lots at a maximum density of one dwelling per five acres. The planning commission had recommended denial by a 4-1 vote, and the board followed that recommendation.
