Montgomery staff reports improved pavement condition index to 86 after five-year road program

If the village did no improvements beyond committed STP projects, the model projected a 2030 PCI of about 79.

Trustee Youngerman raised neighborhood-level concerns, noting neck‑downs (curb extensions) in Blackberry Crossing West that restrict turning and school bus access; staff said they will examine those specific areas when the zone is scheduled for future work and noted the subdivision streets are likely candidates for 2026 or 2027 work. The board asked whether reducing the IRP (infrastructure road program) funding to divert some sales-tax infrastructure funds to water projects would force cuts elsewhere; staff confirmed the sign/install project is being funded from MDF and not the general fund and that any reallocation would be modeled in the next five‑year plan.
