The Board of Aldermen on May 13 approved contracts to rebuild Blue Ridge Boulevard from Third Street to the western city limits, authorizing a construction contract with J. M. Fahey Construction Company (bill 7842 → ordinance 7580) and a construction services agreement with Cook, Flat & Strobel Engineers (CFS) (bill 7843 → ordinance 7581).
