St. Louis County Council accepts two prepared orders, finalizes three bills and records several holds

The St. Louis County Council on May 20 accepted two prepared orders and completed final passage of three bills while placing several other bills on hold or perfecting others during a long procedural session.

Councilman Harter moved to accept Prepared Order No. 1, a proposed Chapter 100 industrial development project for TW Constructors LLC; the motion was seconded and carried. The council later accepted Prepared Order No. 2, a communication from Jennifer Keating, acting director of procurement, and Rodney Gee, director of administration, requesting authorization to dispose of certain property.

During the meeting the council voted to give final passage to Bill No. 86, Bill No. 87 and Bill No. 88. The vice chair reported the tallies for those final-passage votes as five ayes and two absent; the clerk recorded the measures as finally passed.

Council also handled a long list of bills under perfection and hold motions. Several substitute and hold motions were recorded by the clerk; the council noted requests for committee-of-the-whole consideration of some items (for example, a member requested a committee of the whole for Bill No. 92). The clerk and vice chair repeatedly recorded motions to hold bills and to perfect others during the perfection phase.

No new ordinances or budget appropriations were announced as a direct result of the votes taken at the meeting beyond the prepared-order acceptances and the bills identified above.
