The Snohomish County Council on Feb. 26 approved Ordinance 25‑007, authorizing the county executive to execute a data‑sharing agreement with the Washington State Department of Health for Ryan White HIV/AIDS program datasets and any subsequent amendments.
Cynthia Foley, council staff, said the ordinance had been reviewed previously by the Health and Community Services Committee on Jan. 29. The council was told the datasets will be used to support and facilitate health interventions; no additional operational details or budgets were presented during the hearing.
The council opened public testimony; no speakers were present in the chamber and no hands were raised online, so public testimony was closed and the council proceeded to a roll‑call vote. The motion to approve the ordinance was made and seconded; Chair Nearing, Vice Chair Done, Council Member Mead, Council Member Low and Council Member Peterson all voted yes and the ordinance passed 5‑0.
Staff indicated they were available for follow‑up questions after the vote. No amendments, implementation timetable or budgetary details for use of the Ryan White datasets were specified at the meeting.
