Springville Mayor asked the St. Clair County Commission on a funding request for Creek Jam, the city’s new event tied to the Big Canoe Creek nature-preserve effort. The mayor said the city raised roughly $77,000 in gross receipts at last year’s Creek Jam and incurred about $50,000 in expenses, including site rental costs, and that turnout was between 1,500 and 2,000 people.
