Commissioners noted recent and upcoming planning items and asked staff to confer with County staff (Paul Holt was named) to firm up a work plan and timing.
Commissioners also reviewed figures from the annual report, noting dwelling-unit additions for the 2024 and 2025 timeframes and discussing county population and school-enrollment projections. One commissioner said the county report projects about 35,000 dwelling units and questioned school enrollment projections and recent budget requests, noting a referenced $13,000,000 increase in a school budget request and concerns over which projection series ("low," "most likely," "moderate") had been used in the materials.
No formal code amendments, ordinances or resolutions were initiated at the meeting. Commissioners requested staff follow up with the Board of Supervisors and bring draft language or a work plan to the policy committee as appropriate.
