At its May 5 meeting the Board of Lucas County Commissioners approved several routine administrative items, including an appointment to the workforce development board, a change to the 2025 meeting calendar, and a financial‑advisory agreement.
The commissioners appointed Abigail Lewis to the Lucas County Workforce Development Board for a term commencing immediately and expiring Oct. 31, 2026. They also amended the 2025 meeting schedule, canceling the regular meetings on Tuesday, May 20 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and adding a regular meeting on Monday, May 12 at 11 a.m.
The board approved an agreement with Stifel, Nicolaus & Company Incorporated for financial-advisory services for calendar year 2025 at a base rate of $15,000. The board also approved routine purchase-order and "then and now" certificates for April 2025 during the meeting.
All items were approved by unanimous roll call; presenters did not provide substantive debate on the items during the public session.
