Committee members told the meeting they had worked with Clements Insurance Services to obtain the renewal terms.
"What they have procured for us is a slight decrease," said Mister Rodriguez, presenting the item, and later that the firm had negotiated about a $600 decrease in total premiums compared with the prior year. Representatives from Clements Insurance Services—Richard Clements and Timothy Clements—were in attendance to answer questions.
The committee voted to send the insurance renewal recommendation to the full board. A motion to forward the item carried and was recorded as "Motion passes 10."
The committee confirmed coverage and that no change in policy limits was proposed; staff said the recommendation is to renew coverage as presented. The item will be considered by the full board at its next meeting for final approval and payment of the premium.
