Delaware County commissioners approve routine resolutions, awards and contracts

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners on April 7 approved a slate of routine resolutions covering contract renewals, equipment purchases, mowing agreements, right-of-way permits and grant- or bid-related actions, and later voted to dismiss a drainage-improvement petition after a public hearing.

The approvals were taken in a single series of roll-call votes. Commissioners Barb Lewis (president), Jeff Benton (vice president) and Gary Merrill recorded “aye” votes on each recorded motion.

The actions included renewal and first-amendment contracts, purchase-authorizations through cooperative purchasing programs, awards of construction and materials bids, and administrative items such as travel requests and batch payment approvals. Notable items with staff discussion included: a first amendment to a temporary employment/payroll services contract with NESCO Resources LLC (renewal for job and family services program operations); a newly proposed clinical counseling services contract for Job and Family Services with Lisa A. Davis, LPCC; purchase authorizations for a pad-foot drum roller and two day-cab trucks for the engineer’s office; amendments to roadside mowing contracts for the 2024–2025 season; and the award of a bridge replacement contract for Steamtown Road to Double Z Construction Company.
