Parent asks board to consider district support for debate and forensics program

"You currently have an organization, I think, called the Thespian Club that does competitive events similar to forensics," Novogradski said. He suggested the district could identify or train staff from theater, English or other departments, or provide board direction to help stand up a program.
The request was made during public comment; board members did not take immediate action at the meeting but encouraged submitting materials in writing if speakers wished to provide more detail. No district staff committed to a timeline or funding at the meeting.
