Board approves final downtown wayfinding graphics, asks for full-size mockup

The boards’ action finalizes artwork that will be used for downtown directional signs; staff said the only requested wording change was to label La Posada as “La Posada Hotel” to match other signage such as the Rialto Hotel.
Staff said each sign represents a location and that the arrow directions were checked; the chair asked staff to print a mocked-up sign at actual size and place it in staff offices for board members to inspect before production-level shop drawings. Staff noted there is no notice to proceed yet and that any minor corrections that do not change concept can be handled before production.
A motion to accept the final design, subject to minor corrections that do not change the concept, was moved by the chair and seconded by Juan Caballero and passed by voice vote. Staff will provide the mockup to Miss Martinez’s office for board review.
