The Akron City Council on Thursday approved three ordinances to proceed with separate resurfacing programs for arterial/collector streets, residential streets and unimproved streets, voting 13-0 on each measure.
Councilman Kammer said the first ordinance “focuses more on the arterial and collector streets” and described the second and third as addressing residential streets and unimproved street resurfacing, respectively. Each ordinance was accompanied by a committee report favorable to passage and the council suspended the rules to vote the same evening.
