Planning commission recommends FY2026–2035 capital improvements program

The Dinwiddie County Planning Commission recommended approval of the county’s FY2026–2035 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) at Tuesday’s meeting, forwarding the plan to the Board of Supervisors.
Commissioners amended the agenda to include the CIP recommendation following a staff workshop presentation by County staff (Massengill). Commissioner Langley moved to recommend approval; the motion was seconded and passed with all members present voting aye.
Commissioners did not record substantive changes to the CIP during the meeting. The commission noted one requested staffing item proposed in the county budget: a code compliance position, which staff said would be brought forward if approved by the Board.
The recommendation will be included in the Board’s budget discussions.
