Financial and personnel transfers: The board approved multiple appropriation and fund transfers across departments, including a $73,000 transfer relating to sheriff/cruiser funding and several VOCA grant-year account adjustments to reconcile odd-year and even-year payroll liabilities. The prosecutor's office transfers for travel-to-training and municipal salary/benefits corrections were also approved.
Sewer and pump repairs: Commissioners authorized a payment of $8,600 to restore a homeowner's hillside after sewer manhole work in Union Furnace (paid from the sewer budget). Other actions: The board approved modest facility repairs for the commissioner's room, approved a short-term week-to-week contract to provide interim custodial help, accepted three sewer hookup applications contingent on proper applications and agency approvals, and approved the use of the courthouse parking lot for a weekend shuttle service.
Ending: Most votes were taken by voice with unanimous approval; commissioners said staff will continue follow-up on reimbursements, bid paperwork and urgent infrastructure work.
