Commissioners approve routine resolutions, accept EMS resignation and hold executive session

The Williams County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 20 approved a set of routine resolutions, accepted a resignation from an EMA employee and voted to go into executive session to discuss compensation.
The board approved Resolution 85, to accept the minutes of the Feb. 18, 2025 regular session; Resolution 86, accepting presented/amended items; Resolution 87, approving payment of bills; Resolution 88, a $1,500 intra-department transfer in EMS to move funds into radio repairs; and Resolution 89, accepting the resignation of an EMA employee (Michael Schultz), with a reported last day of March 3. Each resolution was adopted by roll call with the clerk announcing “motion carried.”
Commissioners moved into executive session at about 09:15 under Ohio Revised Code 121.22(G)(1) to discuss compensation at the request of Commissioner Rommel and at the request of the employee Heather Mercer. The board reported returning from the executive session with no action taken.
The actions were recorded by roll call during the meeting. The minutes and signed documents for transfers and personnel actions were noted as available for administrative follow-up.
