County to consider adding logo to workforce and community corrections materials; staff will circulate drafts

Deschutes County staff on March 5 described two requests to add the county logo to external advocacy materials related to workforce reentry and community corrections funding.
DV Holcomb of Community Justice said EDCO and partners asked to place the county's logo on a one-pager supporting HB 2972 (a workforce reentry proposal) and related materials for East Cascade Works. Separately, the Association of Oregon Counties circulated a two-page primer on community corrections funding asking counties to add logos in support of an ask to fully fund community supervision; staff said the AOC primer notes a funding gap and that full funding would require an additional $68 million statewide compared with the governor's current budget proposal.
Commissioners signaled support for adding the county's logo to the AOC community corrections primer and asked staff to circulate the EDCO one-pager and the AOC two-pager to the board ahead of a Friday morning meeting for final confirmation. No formal action was taken at the March 5 meeting; staff agreed to follow up by email and bring the matter to the Friday call.
