Salina Planning Commission approved rewording of a condition on the final plat of the Markley Addition to allow construction of Fire Station No. 4 to begin while an existing sanitary sewer remains in service, provided the sewer reroute is completed and the existing line capped before a certificate of occupancy is issued.

The Salina Planning Commission voted Tuesday to modify a condition on the final plat of the Markley Addition so construction of the planned Fire Station No. 4 can begin before an existing sanitary sewer is taken out of service, as long as the rerouted sewer is in service and the old line is capped before the building receives a certificate of occupancy.
