Middlesex County board members voted to certify that only matters exempted in the motion calling the closed session were discussed, and shortly afterward voted to adjourn the meeting.
The certification motion, moved by Mister Jess, board member, and seconded by Mister Bill Harris, board member, asked members to confirm "to the best of the members' knowledge only public business matters lawfully exempted in the motion by which the closed session was called was considered or discussed in the closed session." A roll call recorded affirmative votes from Mister Jess, Mister Williams, Mister Bill Harris, Mister Crittendon and Mister Don Harris, and the motion carried.
Following that vote, Mister Jess moved to adjourn; Mister Bill Harris seconded. A roll call again recorded affirmative votes from Mister Williams, Mister Bill Harris, Mister Crittendon, Mister Jess and Mister Don Harris, and the meeting was adjourned.
Board members clarified on the record that there was no formal action taken during the closed session.
