Regional development leaders, trade associations and makerspace operators told the Commerce & Economic Development committee that while networks such as Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) and regional development corporations provide critical support, gaps in industrial space, broadband and permitting slow manufacturers’ ability to scale.
