Committee backs code change to charge industrial users for high-strength wastewater
The committee voted unanimously to recommend amending Chapter 915 of the codified ordinances to allow surcharges on industrial customers whose wastewater exceeds specified strength thresholds; the code change would take effect Jan. 1, 2026, and staff said two food producers are most likely affected.
