Board updates: grant submitted for secure entrances; construction projects continue with delays
District staff reported a grant submission for secure school entrances, new weapon-detector equipment, and progress and delays on multiple construction projects including Simpson and Bridgeport-area work.

District facilities staff told the board the system submitted an application for a state major-improvement grant to complete secure entrances at remaining sites, naming a Bridgeport project among those targeted. Superintendent Sutler said the application was turned in on Friday and staff will present to state officials if funds are available.
