Board votes to end annual streaming subscription and forms nominations committee

The board voted to discontinue the school’s annual video-streaming subscription and to revisit Zoom and in-person meeting formats.

Board members noted the subscription costs about $4,000 per year and reported that remote viewership has been minimal (the director said only one meeting earlier in the audit period had six viewers). The director said that, under state statute, streaming is not required so long as accurate minutes are kept. Board members also discussed that Zoom participation requires at least one board member to be physically present on campus for meetings that are hybrid.
