Committee approves substitute renaming assessment program, shifting grades and adding benchmark schedule

The committee agreed to a substitute for Senate Bill 912 that renames the statewide assessment as the Comprehensive Statewide Student Growth Assessment Program, limits it to grades 4–12 (with benchmarks in grades 4–8) and requires benchmark assessments early, midyear and year-end for reading and mathematics in grades 4–8.
