Committee adopts rules setting badge standards for paid petition circulators
The committee approved temporary and pending rules specifying badge size, font, wording and color for compensated petition circulators under legislation enacted last year.

Rob McQuade, representing the Secretary of State’s office, presented a rule docket implementing last year’s change requiring paid petition circulators to wear an identifying badge. The proposed badge specifications are: 1 inch by 3 inches in size; white background with black text; the words “Paid Petition Circulator” in 24-point font; and use of a commonly available font to avoid additional costs.
