Commissioners table TimeClock Plus renewal while staff seeks vendor fixes and integration answers

Coryell County Commissioners discussed the county’s TimeClock Plus electronic timekeeping contract and decided to table a multi-year renewal while staff seeks vendor assistance to correct setup problems and confirm integration with the county’s planned payroll/financial system.

Why it matters: county staff and commissioners said the current TimeClock Plus configuration does not reliably match department accrual policies, leading departments to use a hybrid paper-and-electronic process. Commissioners said they are open to an extension if the vendor can demonstrate that global settings and accrual calculations can be adjusted to meet county needs or that integration with the county’s planned financial system is assured.

County staff described the system as underused and inconsistently configured across departments, and they recommended the vendor meet with county officials to resolve issues before the court signs another multi‑year agreement. The court voted to table the item until the vendor can meet with county staff and demonstrate corrective steps.

The clerk will ask TimeClock Plus for a demonstration and a written response on integration windows and estimated implementation cost; the court deferred a decision on whether to maintain the existing system until staff reports back at the next meeting.
