Appropriations panel advances multiple bills, approves amendments and emergency clause
The State Senate Appropriations Committee cleared a package of budget and policy bills after votes and amendments, including funding for county fair grants, public transit, the Public Service Commission and several agency budgets. Several measures passed with unanimous or near-unanimous roll calls; three items were amended before approval.
