Board welcomes Michelle Peterson back as programs coordinator

As part of the consent agenda approved March 24, the Middletown School Board accepted the personnel recommendation to hire Michelle Peterson as the district’s programs coordinator.
Staff and board members described Peterson as a former Creekview Elementary principal (2018–2021), later an elementary principal in other districts, and previously a college-and-career-readiness coordinator. Peterson told the board she was “excited to be back home in Middletown” and will begin work in the 2025–26 school year. Her duties were described as supporting business partnerships and the district’s Passport to Tomorrow work, plus help with gifted and English-Learner programs and other assigned duties.
Board members welcomed Peterson and noted her familiarity with Middletown: “She’s a midi through and through,” a board member said during the meeting. The personnel appointment passed as part of the consent agenda.
