Pharmacy update: DEA approval pending, initial inventory staged; staff recommends gap malpractice coverage
Staff reported that the clinic’s DEA approval is in final review at headquarters and that the pharmacy has initial inventory and systems ready to begin filling prescriptions for clinic patients once the DEA number and NPI are issued. Clinic staff told the Dahl Memorial Clinic Planning Committee on Jan. 21 that the clinic’s DEA approval for the pharmacy is in the final stages at headquarters and the clinic expects the DEA notice soon. Once the DEA number is issued staff will apply for an NPI and begin limited prescription fills for clinic patients.
