Planning staff said Sauer is an operations coordinator who is one of three new hires in the Planning & Development office and that staff had trained her in preparation for the role. A commissioner moved to accept the staff recommendation; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Commission staff said the office intends to provide meeting materials earlier and improve advertisement consistency; staff noted Sauer would help ensure packet deadlines and distribution to commissioners before meetings.
