Shasta County supervisors were faced Aug. 26 with concerted public pressure over elections operations, transparency and the registrar‑recorder’s office (ROV). Two agenda items related to the elections office were removed from the agenda, and public comment included calls both to promptly fund new transparency measures and to avoid large, immediate demolition expenditures.
