Abhi (last name not stated), Acting Chief Information Officer, told the Board on Aug. 19 that a mission-critical finance system (Finance Enterprise) was at risk following environmental-control failures at the county’s primary data center in Bishop. To secure redundancy, the county made an emergency purchase of Nutanix server nodes for the Independence Data Center and sought retroactive board approval.
