FEMA-approved Montgomery County hazard mitigation plan needs member resolutions; CMCSS included

A staff member identified as Reid told the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System board that the Montgomery County multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan has been updated and approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). "Board, every 5 years, the multi jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan must be updated. This update has been completed and approved by FEMA, but requires the governing body of each member to confirm by resolution," Reid said.
The plan is the fourth update that explicitly includes the city of Clarksville and CMCSS, Reid said. He told the board the 2025 update contained revisions driven by updated data and terminology changes and that "there are no substantial changes to this plan."
Reid presented the update as an informational first read and indicated that, to meet FEMA requirements, each member jurisdiction must confirm the plan by passing a resolution. There was no motion or vote during this meeting; the item will need formal resolution by each participating governing body to complete the process.
