Director: Electronics vendor change, large hazardous shipment and fire-suppression work clear storage at facility

At a short meeting, Joel, Director, said the facility has begun sending electronics and hazardous waste to new contractors and cleared accumulated mercury and other restricted items to free space ahead of a planned fire-suppression replacement. "I think this is our third or fourth load we've sent through them, and everything's gone smoothly so far," Joel said of OmniSource, the facility's electronics vendor.
