Perry ISD trustees move Level 3 parent appeal into closed session over student-privacy concerns

Perry Independent School District Board of Trustees President Wes Beal announced at 6:01 p.m. July 28, 2024, that the board would enter closed session to conduct a Level 3 appeal by parents Casey and Tanisha Anderson under district policy FNG Local, citing Texas Government Code sections 551.082 and 551.0821 because the materials contain confidential student information. "This hearing of the Perry Independent School District Court of Trustees is convened on 07/28/2024 at 06:01PM," Beal said, adding that notice of the hearing was posted in accordance with Texas open-meeting laws.
