The Jackson County Board of Supervisors voted July 29 to set a public hearing for Aug. 19 at 9 a.m. on a rezoning request for property at 38209 Highway 52. Becca, the county zoning commissioner, told the board the zoning commission had reviewed and unanimously approved the request from Mark Heights to rezone the parcel from A‑1 (agricultural) to R‑1 (residential).
