Council and county to issue RFP for opioid settlement funds; selection timeline set for September review
The city and county will release an RFP for opioid-settlement funds after council approval; the RFP will accept proposals for prevention, treatment and harm reduction with flexible spending terms and a Sept. 3 application deadline and September 15 committee review, with roughly $2.6 million available from combined city and county funds.

City staff told the council on July 20 that the opioid settlement oversight committee and staff have finalized an RFP and plan to present a final RFP to the council at an upcoming meeting. If the council and county both approve, the RFP will be released to accept proposals through Sept. 3 and the oversight committee will meet Sept. 15 to review applications.
