Lewis County approves midyear budget amendment increasing expenditures by $6.3 million
The Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution 25-204 amending the 2025 budget to increase expenditures by $6,325,245 and revenues by $3,299,894, which will reduce the estimated ending fund balance by $3,025,351.

Becky Butler, the county’s budget and risk director, presented a public hearing and staff report on July 15 recommending amendments to the county’s 2025 budget. Butler told the board the originally published notice showed an increase in expenditures of $2,565,533 and revenue of $964,536, but subsequent adjustments expanded the amendment.
