Summary
The Laconia Planning Board on July 1 approved a second extension for the Winisquam Avenue marina project, revising milestone dates and requiring an Aug. 1 executive summary and copies of all permits before building permits are issued.
The board approved a second extension request for the Winisquam Avenue marina project (PB2025‑067). Jessica Jacobson of Wilcox & Barton represented owner Naughty Marina Inc. and said the extension is needed to complete an emergency preparedness plan and finalize coordination with the Winnipesaukee River Basin Program (WRBP) and the Department of Public Works.
Staff recommended conditions of approval. The planning department said the application and plans are complete and consistent with state and city land‑use rules and that prior approvals remain in effect except where amended. Milestone dates were revised: the milr and final plans are due Dec. 30, 2025, and the completion date is amended to Dec. 30, 2027. The applicant must provide an executive summary on the current status of the project by Aug. 1, 2025 and must submit copies of all permits and approvals obtained from state, federal and municipal agencies to the planning department prior to issuance of any building permit. All prior conditions not altered remain in effect.
Board member Mike Della Vecchia moved to approve PB2025‑067 with staff’s findings and conditions and the motion was seconded; the roll‑call vote was unanimous.
