The commissioners moved and seconded the addendum during the meeting; a roll call recorded all three commissioners voting yes and the motion passed 3-0. There were no public comments on the item. Officials described this as a re-obligation of funds rather than new spending authority. The motion as presented to the board stated: “I would like to move to approve an addendum to the MOU between the Monroe County Board of Commissioners and the Monroe County Health Board regarding septic replacement.”
Commissioners emphasized that the funds are coming from the county’s ARPA allocation and are intended for the septic replacement program only. No new appropriation beyond that re-obligation was described during the meeting.
The board did not identify a timeline for deployment of the funds in the public discussion; commissioners voted to approve the addendum and the item concluded with a 3-0 roll call.
