The Platte County treasurer’s office on June 2 formally opened five bids received in response to a request for proposals for county banking services.
Chris Kendall, speaking for the treasurer’s office, told the commission, “We’ve received 5 bids into the clerk’s office, and they were all received prior to the deadline of Friday at 04:00,” and asked the commission to “Please go ahead and open the bids” so his office can begin evaluations. Kendall read the names of bidders into the record, including Harvest Bank, Arvest Bank, Central Bank, Nottoway Valley and Commerce Bank; copies were filed with the clerk’s office.
The commission did not take an award action during the meeting. Kendall said the treasurer’s office will review bids and move forward with the evaluation process; no evaluation timetable or recommendation was stated on the record.
